The Boston TD-10 pickup suits various acoustic stringed instruments such as guitar, ukulele, mandolin, banjo, cello and violin. It can also be used on an acoustic piano or a cajón, making it useful at home, in lessons or in small amplified setups.
This universal BOSTON pickup lets you amplify any instrument and any vibrating surface: just like a piezo, the transducer amplifies all the vibrations it receives, giving you a faithful, powerful sound. It is very simple to install thanks to the adhesive on the back of the pickup, and just as simple to use: plug the 6.35mm jack into the source of your choice, or build it into the instrument, and off you go…
Tip: for best use of the transducer, it is better to plug it into an acoustic amp that has a Passive/Active button, and to choose the Active option. That way the signal is boosted and you get better results (louder sound, less hiss). In this case, the system is said to be active.
