Ischell contact pickups are renowned for their fidelity to the acoustics of the instrument; they respect the musician’s nuances precisely, and their acoustic isolation and feedback resistance are comparable to those of a piezo pickup, allowing high levels in front of the monitors. You can easily use them with an amp, apply effects to them, and so on. The pickup is installed near the bridge, on the outside. The X48XC3 model is particularly suitable with its phantom power operation, balanced XLR output, belt-worn module… The new C3 contact pickup is particularly well suited to the violin.
ISCHELL contact pickups are a new type of pickup, made in France, that attach to the instrument using a specific audio adhesive putty. The sound is comparable to an air microphone, with fidelity, warmth and width, combined with the acoustic isolation and feedback resistance of a piezo pickup, so you can play at high levels on stage. You can easily use them with amps or mixing desks, apply effects to them or make clean loops. A real revolution in the world of acoustic amplification…
Tips and tricks:
Seeing that a new generation of musicians is playing on stage today, I thought it would be useful to share with them/you some experience in the field of amplifying acoustic instruments on stage and/or in the studio
Stringed instruments.
Stringed instruments work by having the strings make the soundboard vibrate via a bridge or equivalent. The quartet and all the other stringed instruments work in the same way, so all too often, and naturally, people head for the bridge, the closest point to the strings, as with some acoustic guitar pickups that end up amplifying only the strings. Whereas when fixed at certain places on the soundboard, you pick up a little of the “wood”, which makes the sound much more acoustic and closer to your instrument. Add, in a limited proportion, the sound of an air microphone (30%) and the job is done. The air that was missing from pickups is mixed in and lets you play louder with an acoustic sound.

Correct pour le prix, mais j’attendais un peu plus de définition dans les aigus. Reste un bon produit.
