Bulky items such as guitars, drum kits, amps and PA systems are packed and secured so they can be handed to our GLS carrier no later than the day after you place your order, by 48/72-hour express, to ensure fast and secure delivery.

Parcel tracking is sent to you, and you can always contact our carrier directly to change your delivery options.

Smaller items such as microphones, pickups, strings and various accessories are sent by tracked Colissimo post without signature, so that you do not have to be at home for the delivery. The parcel will simply be left in your letterbox when your usual postman calls. The tracking number will be sent to you by text message or email.

You have 14 days from receipt of your order to return the product to us: the item(s) must be returned in their original packaging, in perfect condition and unused, to the company address shown on your invoice. The handpan is an instrument perfectly suited to beginners, where percussion and melody meet. Playing the handpan creates soothing, spherical and lasting soundscapes that completely captivate both player and listener. No previous experience or knowledge of music theory is needed, because all the tone fields of the SELA handpan are on a fixed scale. With most models, it is not possible to hit dissonant notes, that is, notes that sound “wrong”. So you can follow your own intuition as you play and lose yourself in mysterious, dreamy melodies after just a little while. With a little practice, more complex rhythms, captivating chords and two-voice melodies become possible.

Sela Melody handpans let you step into the world of handpans without compromising on sound or build quality. They are partly handmade and made from nitrided steel. Nitriding hardens the surface of the handpan, giving it a percussive sound that decays much more quickly than that of stainless steel handpans. Thanks to their shorter sustain, nitrided handpans are also ideal for fast playing, as the notes are more distinct and overlap less. This is also a big advantage for beginners, as it makes it easier to improvise and play by feel. Nitrided steel handpans need more care than stainless steel models, so they should be cleaned regularly and protected from moisture. Sela Melody handpans have a matt dark blue finish that gives them a subtle, fascinating look.

The Bb2 Amara tuning (fundamental frequency 440 Hz) is noticeably lower than the popular D Amara scale. The centre note in the middle of the handpan is Bb2, around which the notes F3, Ab3, Bb3, C4, Db4, Eb4, F4 and Ab4 are arranged in a circle. Thanks to this low tuning, the Bb2 Amara produces a darker, deeper and more mystical sound than the C# Amara and D Amara models. Particularly handy: an overview of the scale with the different tone fields is laser-engraved on the underside of the handpan.

Every Sela handpan comes with a tear-proof nylon bag which, thanks to its quality lining, offers optimal protection during transport.
