This type of Manouche guitar became known through the pioneer of European jazz, Django Reinhardt, who caused a sensation in the early 20th century because his virtuoso technique was incomparable. All the more so as, after an accident, he could only use two fingers of his left hand.
The Maccaferri design was distributed by Selmer and the Richwood RM-70-NT is the latest version with the “petite bouche” (small soundhole), the smaller oval soundhole. Thanks to the shape of the body and the special bridge combined with the tailpiece, the guitar produces a sound with excellent projection. Its price is also very affordable and its finish exemplary:

Romain Thomas –
Bois magnifique, finitions soignées. Le sustain est remarquable.
Stéphanie Lambert –
Rapport qualité-prix exceptionnel. Elle sonne aussi bien que des modèles deux fois plus chers.
Nicolas Lambert –
Très confortable, manche agréable. Parfaite pour accompagner le chant.
