The new Salvador Cortez Maya C guitar is a new release, fresh out of the Salvador Cortez workshop. The solid Canadian cedar soundboard combined with the sapelli mahogany back and sides (a wood particularly prized for its strength and high quality) gives it a warm, deep sound. The Spanish-style neck joint favours the transmission of vibrations between the neck and the body. This particular system is considered the best because of the elongated shape of the block, which increases the gluing surface and promotes the transmission of vibrations between the neck heel and the body. This makes the instrument particularly resonant and perfect for musicians who care about good projection as well as fine finishing:

A little extra … : the Salvador Cortez MAYA C is fitted with a dual-action truss rod. The truss rod is a lightweight metal core placed inside the neck that lets you adjust the action of the classical guitar quickly and easily with a simple Allen key. This keeps the cost of periodic maintenance and setup by a luthier to a minimum.
